Lauren + Brock - Charlotte Wedding

This past Saturday was Lauren and Brock's wedding at St. John's Episcopal Church followed by a gorgeous reception at the absolutely stunning Carmel Country Club. Mother Nature couldn't have given them a more beautiful day to get married on either. It was a perfect combination!
I had so much fun at this wedding! I'll admit now that I was very scared about my ability to make it to 11pm (with a newborn and three year old, I'm out by 10pm most nights.) The reality turned out to be the exact opposite. What I would have given to toss the camera, kick off my shoes, and join all the fun guests on the dance floor (and trust me, they could cut a mean rug). I think I bee-bopped around the room the entire night! I couldn't believe how quickly 11pm came. I felt like Cinderella being kicked out of the ball.
I've only gone through my shots once, but here are some of my faves so far... enjoy!
How beautiful is she? You can tell Dad is proud of his little girl.

The new Mr. and Mrs.

Wanting to take a peek... but restraining for just a few more minutes!

One of the beautiful locations at Carmel Country Club

Mom's clinging onto her son while Lauren and Dad share a very special dance to the first song he ever taught her (which she recorded for the dance.) Watch out Broadway... Lauren's on her way!

Everyone danced the night away... so much fun!

Bon voyage! Leaving CCC via sparklers and a vintage Bentley. Happy honeymoon!

Billy + Kristen - Charlotte Wedding

I had the honor of capturing Billy and Kristen's Ballantyne wedding on March 28th. I met them over a year ago and was immediately in love with this cute couple. Kristen is an art teacher and Billy is an active ARMY man who has served not one, but two tours in Iraq and he's only like 25 years old! What nobility. I'm so proud of our servicemen. I love America and am proud of those who protect her.

By and large, this was a particularly unusual Saturday. First off, the week leading up to it was beautiful with sunny skies in the 70's. Mother Nature had something different in mind for this day, however. It poured the entire day. I mean non-stop buckets, no joke. It's all good though; we got creative and probably wouldn't have ventured to some of the locations that we did had the weather cooperated.

Secondly... this wedding was pretty much all New Yorkers (and Italian at that!) Both families are originally from NY, and from the very obvious accents I think many of their guests also hailed from that part of the country. It was too much fun! No one can party like an Italian clan can, and this group was no exception.

Here are a few of my favorites so far. I took entirely too many pictures that I have yet to dig through, but it's OK. I will make it, and hopefully have more great shots to share with you soon! (And by the way, can you believe what movies were on the marquee in the picture above? It was meant to be!)

Good for Kristen, Sgt. Billy has been trained to follow all orders!

I love these sweet glances during the ceremony.

Having some fun at Ballantyne Village. Shortly after this the wedding party had their first round of shots from Village Bistro :) It always helps to have a loosened up crowd for the camera.

I love this one. True happiness captured perfectly.

This was our ring bearer. He also wore some sweet shades down the aisle. Don't mess with this kid.

I always like to find unique ways to showcase the rings. This is my favorite to date!

Salut!

Can you tell they know how to have a good time? It's in the blood.
